Options

There's a lot of options available out there in the sex industry. I figure one of my early posts should describe them and my thoughts on them.

Porn
Simple everyone knows about porn. Recorded video most likely of professional actors having sex. There used to be adult cinemas, but those died down with the advent of VHS so you can watch porn in the privacy of your home. With the internet, you can go to one of tons of websites and watch free porn streaming on your computer.
Peep Show
Peep shows are kind of interesting. It's like solo porn in real life with a glass window in front of you. Also, unlike porn, you have to keep paying to keep on watching. I imagine there's kind of a seedy feeling, being in a tiny booth, with the smell of cum or cleaning chemicals wafting the air. Obviously, there's no physical interaction here.

Strip Club
Strip clubs generally feature a main stage, where girls dance and remove their clothing for the audience. There's also typically back rooms for guys to get lap dances. Just as Chris Rock so famously said: "There's no sex in the champagne room." Yet guys keep on coming time and time again hoping for perhaps that 1% chance that they'll get lucky. With lap dances, the girl is in some form of undress while you are fully clothed. Depending on the club, there will be varying forms of privacy from a big open room to a "VIP booth". Personally, while I've been, I didn't find it incredibly erotic. There was a constant nagging in my mind that the dancers are there to part you from your money as quickly as possible with as much teasing as you can handle. Sure there may be the rare club or girl that actually follows through with all the promises she teased you with, it'll also cost you a ridiculous amount of money*.

Full Body Sensual Massage (FBSM)*
I'm sure every guy who's gone in for a typical massage always hoped that at the end she'd give you a "Happy Ending" and jerk you off. Well this is actually that kind of massage! Starting out with a massage, you'll be stroked and pampered with varying amounts of skill depending on the lady. Some may actually be certified massage therapists, others may have just been told that they give a good massage by their old boyfriends.

After some time, she'll ask you to turn over, and jerk you off. There is some hazy gray zone of "extras", where the girl may do more. However that will most likely be on a case by case basis. Going into an FBSM session with hopes of more than just a hand job, will most likely be met with disappointment. Also, just because you got an extra last time, doesn't necessarily mean you'll get an extra next time. Like I said, gray and hazy.

Massage Parlor*
Similar to an FBSM session, except located in a commercial massage parlor. Once again, you've got an expectation of a "Happy Ending" hand job with the gray and hazy area of extras. However because there's less privacy in a massage parlor, it's probably that much less likely, and unlikely of having intercourse of any kind. There is some great reading out there such as:

Asian Massage Parlor (AMP)*
Again with the stereotypes, you've got a massage parlor business with all Asian girls, who you can negotiate in private with for sex in exchange for a sizable tip. Most likely all of the girls will have a heavy Asian accent, or may not even speak English at all. Depending on the location, there may be a line up for you to choose from, there may be a shared shower, and there may be thin walls. But hey, if you've got Asian fever, it's a lot more convenient than traveling to Thailand.

Apartment Asian Massage Parlor (AAMP)*
Similar to an AMP, but located in an apartment. There's fewer girls to choose from, but there's also more privacy. It's kind of similar to the comparison of FBSM with a Massage Parlor and AMP with an AAMP.

Street Walker*
This is the stereotypical prostitute who walks the street and gets picked up by guys passing in their car. You can probably negotiate a good price, but there's also a lot of risk associated with these girls. Pimps, Drugs, Police, and who knows what else. Think of the girls that are arrested on shows like COPS for solicitation of prostitution.

Brothel
Think of the brothels in Nevada like on the show Cathouse where prostitution is regulated and legal. Line ups of girls when you enter, probably a bar or lounge for mingling with girls, and private rooms for each girl.

Call Girl*
Think of Charlie Sheen calling up an agency and having girls sent to his place to have sex with him. Simple as that, except you're not Charlie Sheen. The famous Belle de Jour was a call girl:

Escort*
There's a huge variation in Escorts. From the college co-ed, to the older MILF or even grandmother. From the pimped girl to the independent. From the girl who barely lets you touch her, to the one who lets you do just about anything. From the girl who has a bunch of requirements and hoops for you to jump through, to the girl who only requires you to call her. There's the girl who stays in only the very best hotel in town, to the girl who stays at Motel 6.

Sugar Baby
Sugar babies are kind of weird. They're a strange mix of girlfriend and sex worker. Except she's not really a sex worker. Perhaps she'll have sex with you on the first night, perhaps she'll never have sex with you. She may demand that you take her on dates and out shopping, or just want to spend time with you at home and in your bed. You could compensate her with an regular allowance, or with gifts and help with her bills. Each "mutually beneficial relationship" depends on the parties involved and what they each agree to.

There's a lot of variety and options in the sex industry. I'd say variety is the biggest draw to many of the guys who enjoy it. Personally, I enjoy meeting, spending time with and getting to know the ladies that I find I have a connection with. It is not illegal to pay for a lady's time as your companion.
